Chris Rossbach earned a BS in computer systems engineering from Stanford and a PhD in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests emphasize the development of better tools for managing and exploiting concurrency. Chris was at Microsoft Research, Silicon Valley as a researcher from 2010-2014, and joined VMware Research Group at the end of 2014. He currently focuses on system support for exposing and managing concurrency, with particular interests in OS and virtualization support for emerging hardware.
