"Black-box Concurrent Data Structures for NUMA Architectures" has been bestowed the significant honor of 2017 SIGPLAN Research Highlight Paper.

VMware Research is excited to announce that "Black-box Concurrent Data Structures for NUMA Architectures," Irina Calciu (VMware Research Group); Siddhartha Sen (Microsoft Research); Mahesh Balakrishnan (Yale University); Marcos K. Aguilera (VMware Research) has been bestowed the significant honor of 2017 SIGPLAN Research Highlight Paper.

Since 2008, SIGPLAN has selected papers from their eighteen sponsored conferences that are of high quality and broad appeal to be published as SIGPLAN Research Highlights. The objective of the Research Highlights is to call attention to exciting developments in Computer Science research. The paper was first presented at the Architectural Support for Programming Languages, and Operating Systems (ASPLOS) Conference 2017 in April and won Best Paper. In addition, the paper has been recommended to be included in the CACM Research Highlights which are chosen from SIGCOMM, HotNets, ANCS, IMC, SensSys and CoNEXT.
